KE4JNO - ISS_System Software/Download
Contacts and daily ISS activity
HI, Julian / KE4JNO here at EM95ql (Kannapolis NC). My station is very simple, Icom IC-746 radio, Kantronics KPC-3, and a Cushcraft ARx2B vertical in the tree top about 75' above ground. I use my own software for all the monitoring and processing of data....Please feel free to download and use it click on the link above ! (VB6 source code available if you ask)......
This is information from other places regarding the Space Station Packet System (ISS Packet System )........and this page is a "real time" where is the station now (The Space Station )..Please visit WWW.ISSFANCLUB.com for good current information on the ISS and there are other links on my LINKS page......
(10/4/02) Newly added to the web is NO-44/PCsat (which works the same as ISS packet ONLY in daylight). I kind of just re-discovered this marvelous bird. UO-11 is FM too, and sometimes while monitoring 145.825 you hear it, but it is 1200 PSK. I recorded a small file from it just to help others identify this sound.
(9/21/02) My current phase in this is my OWN AZ/EL rotor system. $120 bucks from Norms Rotor service (great guy), an 8255 chip in the pc, and software( i wrote Jazel) and WolA....tracking....well its got a ways to go but Hey, its a start....(PS i have a camera there so i can see where it is)...now the 2 gig and a 2m/44 beam to 2nd radio will be added...(more fun)...Also NOVA TUNE which controls the frequency on my Icom 746 with the DDE output from this wonderful tracking program......
Aside from my own, other programs used a Bunches are , "NOVA" satellite tracking with DDE output (100% great), "SBrecorder" which i use to record audio from the radio (mic input), or i use "Gram_Scope" which is a C program and VERY fast (mic input), , and finally is "SKYGLOBE" which is a star gazing program (its DOS at its finest!)......
Other neat to stuff is my 2002 frequency page, 2 Gig satellite receiving dish from _____, and nice starter of digital sounds sampler to help identify what is heard.
I have also done several hardware/software projects in VB6. Jvideo for my "house nanny" web camera switching project, and Jlights a PIC project for flashing lights on my truck.. Thanks to Austin for all his programming assistance (AIOport VBX)!
73's for now and CUl8tr !
